EMERGENCY WATER DISTRIBUTION PROTOCOLS The Lake Oswego Public Works department has released information about the distribution of water after an earthquake . The new water treatment plant in West LInn was built to withstand a major earthquake and many though not all the lines in Lake Oswego are ductile and should survive a quake. Still the system would have to be tested after a quake. You need to have enough water for your family and pets to see you through at least a week. In case the system is not up in your neighborhood at that time, you should have empty containers that could be filled by the city from fire hydrants. Water is heavy. Make sure the containers are ones you can tote.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE Preparation for the new parking lot is continuing now that Davignon Hall is demolished.
CLACKCO KIDS The county Headstart preschool program has begun its operation on the south side of the Marylhurst campus.
