Our name Mary’s Landing is in recognition that the sisters and orphans who formed the first community here arrived by boat. This picture we believe is along the original path from the landing.
In the early 1900’s the Sisters’ purchased the property which has become the Mary’s Landing Neighborhood Association. They are currently still the largest property owner in the neighborhood. Approximately 60 sisters currently live on the campus. The Administrative Offices of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary U.S. -Ontario Province are located on Gleason Drive (https://snjmusontario.org). They are represented on the neighborhood association board.
